About Us

CopilotKit is the #1 open-source platform for building AI Copilots — intelligent agents designed to work with users inside of real applications. In our first two years, we’ve delivered the fastest growing Javascript AI framework of all time, and built a vibrant community (40k+ GitHub stars, millions of weekly installs, 10s of millions of copilot interactions, double-digit MoM growth), are already monetizing at the enterprise level, and are used by companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100s (including production usage by over 10% of Fortune 500s).

We’re emerging as the default for a critical part of the AI stack: the agent/user interaction layer. CopilotKit brings agents out of demos and terminals and into production, through deep integrations with the leading AI infrastructure companies and hyper-scalers (including the leading AI/infra teams at Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, LangChain, Mastra, Pydantic, Agno, and others).

Our small, fast-moving team is building the agentic application platform that will define how user-interactive AI actually manifests in the real world. This is a unique opportunity to join as an early leader on one of the most complex and high-leverage surfaces in AI — with significant scope for technical, product, and leadership growth.

The Role

We are building the foundation for agentic applications. Our success depends on whether developers can understand what’s possible, get started quickly, and ship reliable agentic systems into production.

You'll own the end-to-end developer experience for CopilotKit — the complete journey from a developer's first impression through production deployment. This is a hands-on, wide-scope role where you set strategic direction while personally shaping much of the developer-facing surface area.

You'll operate as both PM and active individual contributor: defining success metrics and priorities, directly creating documentation and examples, and translating insights from usage patterns and enterprise learnings into concrete improvements across the platform.

We're Looking for Pilots, Not Just Mechanics

You think in systems and outcomes, not demos. You are fluent in AI-assisted creation as a primary mode of working — using AI to draft, explore, refactor, and iterate across writing, design, and code, while applying strong judgment to ensure coherence and quality. You’ve shipped meaningful developer-facing work this way and are excited by the leverage it creates.

What You'll Own (and Build/Shape)

  • End-to-end developer experience: First impression, onboarding, initial success, core development workflows, and advanced usage patterns
  • Developer understanding and clarity: Canonical explanations of core concepts, mental models, best practices, opinionated guidance on how to build with CopilotKit, and clear articulation of tradeoffs and constraints
  • Hands-on creation: Directly contribute to documentation, guides, quickstarts, examples, reference applications, READMEs, tutorials, technical articles, website and documentation information architecture and copy, and early prototypes and illustrative implementations that clarify intent
  • Adoption and learning loops: Define DevX success metrics (activation, time-to-first-success, production usage), instrument and observe key developer workflows, identify friction rooted in misunderstanding or missing guidance, and turn insights into concrete improvements
  • Production-facing confidence: Reflect enterprise learnings back into documentation, guidance, and platform features, ensuring clear paths from experimentation to production

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of product management experience
  • Deep experience with developer-facing platforms or tools
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort working directly in code and content
  • Proven ability to operate as both a PM and hands-on individual contributor
  • Excellent writing and editorial judgment
  • Comfort with and curiosity about AI coding and productivity assistants

Bonus Points

  • Open-source or open-core background
  • Experience with infrastructure, platforms, or AI developer tooling
  • Early stage startup experience
  • Experience with agentic application development
