CopilotKit raises $27M Series A

I’m excited to share that CopilotKit has raised a $27M Series A led by Glilot Capital, NfX, and SignalFire.

Today, CopilotKit is used by the majority of the Fortune 500s and powers millions of agent-user interactions in production every single day. The open standard we lead, AG-UI, has been adopted by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle, alongside the top agent harness startups.

We believe that all UI is becoming AI. Meaning, all interactions between humans and technology are quickly becoming mediated by agentic systems.

This capital enables us to continue building the Enterprise Agentic Frontend Stack for generative UI and agent-human collaboration.

How we got here

It's been 2 years since we publicly launched CopilotKit.

Since the days of GPT3.5, even before people called it agents, we made a bet that in the future, agents and humans would be collaborating together on software. Now it’s not only paying off, but we’re leading this layer entirely.

A year ago, we shipped AG-UI, the open protocol for how agents talk to user-facing apps. Now our libraries are reaching over 4 million weekly downloads.

Today, CopilotKit is used in production by the majority of the Fortune 500 and Global 50, including DocuSign, S&P Global, Cisco, Deutsche Telekom and Function Health.

AG-UI has been adopted by Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, LangChain, Mastra, Pydantic AI, Agno, AG2, LlamaIndex, and more.

We power millions of agent-user interactions every week.

And our open-source SDKs across CopilotKit and AG-UI are loved by developers with over 40,000 GitHub stars and 150 contributors.

This growth - all of it - is just the beginning.

What We're Solving

AI is changing the way humans interact with software. Think of it like this:

Human intelligence is consistent, reliable, and broadly available. AI intelligence is spiky- superhuman at some things, growing fast on the rest.

The layer connecting the two is where the next decade of software gets built.

Think about what Claude Code and Cursor did for developers. That transformation is coming to every vertical, every product and every workflow. And as AI gets more powerful, the agent-human collaboration layer gets more and more important.

That's why we exist.

Where we're going

You can expect our team to spend even more time in these three areas:

1. Generative UI everywhere

We support the full spectrum of agent-driven user interfaces: controlled UI through AG-UI, declarative UI through Google's A2UI, open-ended UI through Anthropic's MCP Apps.

All of them, in one stack.

2. Self-improving agents

Every interaction in a CopilotKit-powered application is a signal: accepted, rejected, edited, or redirected.

We're building the layer that feeds those signals back so agents improve from production usage, without a fine-tune cycle. Continuous Learning from Human Feedback (CLHF), prompt mutation, per-user adaptation.

This ships next.

3. AG-UI as the standard

AG-UI is the open protocol that connects AI agents to user-facing applications. The way agents reach the people they're built for. Already adopted across the major frameworks.

We're investing in what comes next: more clients beyond the browser, more frameworks shipping AG-UI by default, and better tooling for the people building on it.

Open, independent, free.

We just launched CopilotKit Enterprise Intelligence

The CopilotKit Enterprise Intelligence Platform is the layer that powers persistent threads and cross-device sync in CopilotKit today, with observability and self-improvement coming next.

Self-hosted on Kubernetes. Managed cloud coming soon.

This is what teams use when they take an agent from a demo to production.

Who's investing

We're thrilled to welcome new investors:

  • Glilot Capital Partners, the Israeli enterprise-software and cybersecurity firm behind Cider Security and CyberX.
  • NfX, the seed-stage firm focused on network effects, behind Lyft, DoorDash, and Patreon.
  • SignalFire, the applied-AI venture firm behind Grammarly and Frame, with around $3 billion in AUM.

With participation from Discovery Ventures, Vermilion Cliffs Ventures, DVC, Abstraction Capital, 97212 Ventures, Deep Acre, J-Ventures, Gurtin Ventures, and Fresh Fund!

And to our customers, including DocuSign, S&P Global, Cisco, Deutsche Telekom, Function Health and many more, thank you for trusting us with the agent layer in your applications.
